Fire at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad, none injured

Four fire trucks took about two hours to extinguish the blaze completely, police said. Huge flames erupted on the set at the studio owned by the family of popular actor Akkineni Nagarjuna, after which five fire engines rushed there and doused the fire suspected to have been caused by a short circuit.

Fire breakdown was happened at Nagarjuna's Annapurna Studios. Apparently, the sets that have been burnt into ashes had the house set used in Manam. It could be around Rs 2 crore. However, he said he was happy that none was hurt in the fire. Talking to the media he recollected the last days of his father spent on the set shooting for Manam. Whenever we go there, we feel his presence; it's unfortunate that it's no longer there. However, there was no loss of life and no one was injured as the sets were empty.

As indicated by another Fire official, the correct reason for the blast is yet to be known. "But I am yet to find information about it". Today, it is one of the India's leading production and distribution companies and several big ticket movies including Baahubali have been shot in the Studios.
