Large retailers across North America are jumping on Tesla semi truck pre-orders, with Canadian grocery chain Loblaw now booking 25 trucks, shortly after Wal-Mart placed one for 15 to test them out in the US and Canada. "You'll be able to travel from L.A.to San Francisco - and back - without recharging".

"The point of doing this is to give a hardcore smackdown to gasoline cars", Musk told a crowd in Los Angeles on Thursday.

Musk said Tesla designs an overall system of the sun based fueled "mega-chargers" that could recover the trucks up to 400 miles of range subsequent to charging for just 30 minutes. Carroll Financial Associates Inc. grew its stake in shares of Tesla by 8.7% in the 2nd quarter. It also comes with a million-mile guarantee on its powertrain.

Prices of the new Roadster start at $250,000 for the first 1,000 cars that will start production in 2020, with later models starting at $2,00,000.

"Reserving Tesla trucks marks an important step in our efforts to implement industry-changing technology", J.B. Hunt President and CEO John Roberts said in a news release. Finally, Royal Bank Of Canada decreased their target price on shares of Tesla from $345.00 to $340.00 and set a "sector perform" rating for the company in a report on Thursday, November 2nd. Musk said clients can put down a $5,000 store for the semi now and generation will start in 2019.

In other Tesla news, VP Eric Branderiz sold 99 shares of Tesla stock in a transaction on Tuesday, September 5th.

Osborne said Tesla's cumulative capex announcements now exceed $15 billion to $20 billion over the next few years. Customers who order now would get the vehicles in two years, Musk added. Do let us know about these vehicles in the comments section below.
