The list of prominent men accused of sexual harassment is growing.

"There are striking commonalities in the accounts of the women, each of whom described their interactions with Rose in multiple interviews with The Post", the newspaper points out.

Following the Post report, CBS News suspended Rose and PBS halted production of the "Charlie Rose" show, The Associated Press reports.

Rose is the second major media news figure to be suspended from work in the face of allegations of sexual improprieties.

CBS, PBS, and Bloomberg announced they have suspended Charlie Rose amid accusations he sexually harassed his female colleagues. Rose is a co-host the network's morning show, "CBS This Morning" and is a contributing correspondent to its newsmagazine "60 Minutes".

In a statement to EW, a PBS spokesperson said, "PBS was shocked to learn today of these deeply disturbing allegations". One said he groped her buttocks at a staff party.

It's worth noting that the incidents described in the Washington Post did not happen on set at CBS or to CBS employees; Rose's empire has over time included a panoply of employees working privately for him.

"It is essential that these women know I hear them and that I deeply apologize for my inappropriate behavior. I have learned a great deal as a result of these events, and I hope others will, too". "I have behaved insensitively at times, and I accept responsibility for that", Rose told the Post.

The women claim that the inappropriate advances took place when they worked for or aspired to work for Rose on his longtime running PBS show "Charlie Rose" from the late 1990s until as recently as 2011. About two dozen spoke with the paper on the condition of anonymity.

'He was always professional with me, ' said Eleonore Marchand Mueller, a former assistant of Rose's who worked for him from 2003 to 2005. She said she was sacked when Rose learned she had spoken to a mutual friend about his behavior.
