At the end of his first season, Aguero scored a late goal against Queens Park Rangers that earned the Citizens their first Premier League title and recently became the club's all-time leading goal-scorer after eclipsing Eric Brook's record of 177.

"I never expected to walk straight into the Leicester team, but I think I definitely had my times when I could have played". Hopefully we can recover him because he is so important in that position. "The tests they run on me turn out well".

Manchester City correspondent Jonathan Smith grades Pep Guardiola and how his side have performed so far this season.

"They play the way they did when they were champions with Claudio Ranieiri".

"That's why we have to play intelligently".

City will be boosted by a return for Raheem Sterling, though, after he withdrew from the England squad with a back problem.

"At the moment, when I put my boots on I feel light, I feel good, I feel as though I am not carrying an injury and that makes me confident", Kompany said.

"Nothing to be anxious about", added Guardiola.

The 29-year-old striker had a dizzy spell during Argentina's 4-2 defeat by Nigeria in Krasnodar on Tuesday.

Sergio Aguero is in contention to feature for Manchester City at Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday despite suffering a health scare while on global duty.

Guardiola said: "He arrived two days ago and he was seen by the doctor".

"He's training. He rested a little bit in this period and the last two games he played he was in trouble, but now it's much, much better than before".

"There's nothing to be anxious about".
