When does the weekend rain arrive?

Scattered light to moderate showers will move through throughout the day from the South on Saturday, but Saturday evening remains mainly dry, and part of Sunday too.

Tonight: Mostly clear. Lows in the low and mid 50s. Tonight looking like another mild one with lows in the lower 50s and upper 40s. That joined with an area of high pressure that will meander up and down the east coast. Temperatures will be much cooler behind the cold front with highs only in the 50's and low 60's. Look for partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the 60s.

As air sinks it also becomes very stable, the opposite of what showers need to form, keeping rain chances at bay the majority of the weekend. Mostly sunny skies with highs reaching into the low and mid-70s will once again be the flavor of the day. It is going to be a fantastic weekend for all outdoor activities since it will be very comfortable outdoors especially for late October.

There's a chance of rain on Monday, showers are likely on Tuesday, and there's a chance of rain on Wednesday. Sunshine has allowed temperatures to warm to normal levels. Slowly but surely temperatures creep up to the point that by Sunday, cracking the 80-degree mark is on the table. Behind the front, temperatures will be much cooler. A strengthening ridge of high pressure ensures more warming and more sunshine take place through the day. Partly sunny skies will be overhead with breezy conditions out of the southwest.
