Tyrese Says Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Is Selfish For Spinoff Movie

Above, you'll see a picture of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Tyrese Gibson looking all buddy buddy while promoting Furious 7. Gibson, 38, posted a video to his Instagram account on Wednesday, October 11, in which Johnson gives a scathing review of his 2015 album, Black Rose.

Johnson does not hold back in the video, calling the album "the biggest piece of dog s**t that I've ever heard". Gotta love the actor's attention to detail. Gibson's issue with the spinoff is that the filming of that movie will delay the filming for the next "Fast" movie. It sounds like the R & B singer turned actor has some bills to pay.

Dramaaaa! Sadly, Tyrese seems to be alone in his opinion as Johnson refuses to apologize for securing a solo flick and Vin Diesel is seemingly on #TeamTheRock. "It appears that he's so focused on furthering his own self-interest, he's making decisions from the seat that he's sitting", Tyrese says, while ironically sitting in a seat. "The truth is, I just wish he was releasing it at a different time".

But he denies being angry at the Baywatch star: 'Everybody's coming at me like I'm hating on Dwayne about his spinoff but I'm not'. It shouldn't be called Black Rose. It will be interesting to see if Tyrese and The Rock can settle their differences if they meet each once again in the near future.

Having sparked an onscreen bromance in Fast & Furious 8, Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham were an obvious choice to spin off for a testosterone-fuelled buddy movie. That is time I will never get back.

"Haters come in many forms", Tyrese wrote in the Instagram video caption. That's what the album sounds like and I never want to hear it and I've never going to f-ing forgive him for wasting my time, that is time I will never get back. "It's because we announced and KEPT our release date bro".

On Monday, Johnson responded to the feud with an Instagram post.

The former professional wrestler said he wants to use the spin-off as a platform to create new characters in the "Fast and Furious" universe that fans will be able to enjoy in various platforms and multiple chapters. Film, TV, Digital, Virtual Reality etc. the more opportunities we can create the better for the fans. "My vision is to create greater opportunities for not only my fellow FF cast mates, but for other unbelievable actors as well who want to be a part of something new and cool".
