Fultz said, "Yeah, for the most part".

Fultz shot 2-for-5 from the line Monday, and each time he did so, his free-throw form consisted of a noticeable pause after be brought the ball above his shoulders. He's 0 for 3 from three and 7 for 18 (39 percent) from the line. Fultz was a good shooter in college and likely didn't just forget how to let the ball go.

"I talk to trainers when it bothers me, and they get right to it and start working on it", Fultz said after the Celtics game.

The Ringer's Kevin O'Connor also caught up with Fultz after Monday's game and asked him whether the injury was also the reason for his hitched shooting motion.

"I wouldn't say it's making any effects on the floor, because I'm playing through stuff like that", he said.

Fultz also suffered a sprained ankle during summer league, continuing a trend of injuries to key Philadelphia players in their rookie seasons. At the end of the day, that's not an excuse for me. Fultz is shooting free throws like he's Shaq - not in that he missed, in that putting the ball up there and launching it was how Shaq shot free throws. "I'm just out there hooping". "I'm just trying other things to make free throws". Its follow from his body.

Ben Simmons #25 of the Philadelphia 76ers drives to the basket against Jaylen Brown #7 of the Boston Celtics in the third quarter of the preseason game at the Wells Fargo Center on October 6, 2017 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The defeat was the 76ers' third in succession but coach Brett Brown will be buoyed by the output of Simmons and fellow No.1 draft pick Markelle Fultz (12 points in 24 minutes). It's still early, but it looks like Fultz could struggle with his shooting percentages right out of the gate.
