Another big story next week will be low temperatures! Temperatures will be in the high 70s and low 80s by the afternoon with a cloudy sky. Friday slowly dries but doesn't really clear much, and the weekend is aiming to be fairly nice and warm for mid-October standards.

Today will feature cloudy skies and breezy conditions with areas of showers and drizzle throughout the day.

Tuesday is beginning with mild temperatures, in the 60s and lower 70s - again, that's akin to a typical mid-summer morning. Daytime temperatures will reach a high of 16 C and the UV index will be 4 or moderate. Temperatures will edge into the mid to upper 40s. Showers move in late Sunday into the overnight as the system crosses through the area. Highs will return to the low and mid-70s. However, the humidity will start to rise, so it will feel very warm.

The storm will move across Northern New England on Monday and it will drag a cold front across CT. As we head through the weekend we will have about a 50% chance of showers and storms, but mainly through the afternoon and evening. An approaching cold front will increase cloud cover and rain chances Sunday afternoon. The record is 84 and highs are expected to soar into the lower 80s.

It cools off sharply for the beginning of next week with highs in the low-50s both Monday and Tuesday.

Friday will end up seasonably cool too, with forecast high temps in the mid to upper 60s.
