Former first-team All-Defensive selection Andre Iguodala was ruled out before the game with a strained back, and Green suffered a left knee strain in the final seconds of the third quarter.

"I'll be good. I'm fine,"?Green told ESPN after the game, as he walked gingerly out of the locker room.

NEW ORLEANS - Warriors forward Draymond Green is doubtful for Friday night's game against the Pelicans after an MRI on his left knee revealed no structural damage, a team spokesman confirmed.

However, during Tuesday night's season-opening loss to the Houston Rockets, Green wasn't able to finish the game, missing the entire fourth quarter as the Rockets came from behind to win. He immediately begin hobbling and rubbing his left knee.

Draymond Green is probably not the best player of the #Golden State Warriors but without him, the Warriors are not the same.

"He was the guy who was bringing the energy and the life", coach Steve Kerr said.

Golden State plays Monday at Dallas before returning home for three games next week.

"We looked exhausted", Kerr said.

Losing their season opener won't really be a big deal for the defending champion Golden State Warriors moving forward.

The Warriors only spent about 30 minutes practicing on the court Wednesday with the focus on skill work, instead using more time to study film.

"We deserved to lose" he said. As soon as he went out of the game, things went south for us.
