"DC's Legends of Tomorrow" season 3 may be the final regular season for one of the show's main cast members.

On Legends of Tomorrow, Garber, whose character was introduced on Flash before segueing to the superhero team-up offshoot, has starred opposite Brandon Routh, Arthur Darvill, Caity Lotz, Franz Drameh, Nick Zano, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Tala Ashe, Neal McDonough and Dominic Purcell, all series regulars on the current third season. According to Deadline, Garber's exit from the show was planned well in advance and will be integrated into the plot of season three. The rumors intensified over the summer, and while the CW and the show's producing studio Warner Bros. Garber takes over the role from David Hyde Pierce (with Peters stepping in for Bette Midler.) His first show is January 20. An unconfirmed report has identified someone in the series who appears to be headed out the door. Will you miss Martin Stein if he leaves Legends? Then the news came in early September that Garber would be going back to Broadway.

Deadline first reported that Garber would be leaving the CW series to star in the Broadway production of Hello Dolly! with Bernadette Peters; the news was later confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter and Entertainment Weekly. With him being one of the best parts of the show, it's unknown how well it'll do without him.

Another possibility is to keep using the Victor Garber character, but maybe as time travel is involved, a younger version could be used, which would still enable Victor Garber to return some time down the line.

DC's Legends Of Tomorrow's next episode will debut on Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 9/8c on The CW.
