Kane Wins EPL September Player Of The Month Award

Angered over comments made by Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, Pochettino didn't hold back on his feelings.

'I know Pep well, ' said Pochettino, who worked in Barcelona as a player and manager at Espanyol. "It was disrespectful for many", Pochettino said.

'And it is hard to understand because he was part of big success in Barcelona when it was Lionel Messi at his best and I never said it was the Messi team. But I think many people took those words as very disrespectful for the club, and for many players that are here I think it's a odd situation.

Although Messi was Guardiola's key man, Barça wouldn't have been anywhere near as successful without the likes of Xavi, Andres Iniesta, Sergio Busquets, Carles Puyol, Gerard Pique, Dani Alves and Victor Valdes playing in the same team.

"We kept Jamie Vardy quiet who's another good striker in our last game and if we can do that again we'll be happy".

'I didn't take it badly, it was not disrespectful to me but, for a lot of people, it was unnecessary to say that'.

Kane found the net six times in four top-flight matches for Spurs last month, earning him his fifth Player of the Month award.

Better value, however, could lie in backing Spurs to maintain their fine form by enjoying a comfortable win against a Cherries side that has looked out-of-sorts so far this season; SportPesa offer 7/5 (2.40) that Pochettino's team win by at least three clear goals and that price could provide punters with a path to profit ahead of Saturday's showdown at Wembley. 'Of course, he is an important part of the success of Tottenham. It is a collective sport.

'Sometimes it's hard, sometimes the temptation is to recognise some players.

Eriksen is one of the best and most creative midfielders in the world, and the Denmark worldwide will be key to Spurs' chances of picking up all three points against Bournemouth. He has not called me yet.

"It's a sad comment". It's good for no-one. "If you're a manager you must show more, no?" Be above this type of comment.

"No, no, no. I think it's a sad comment because the players laugh about that", he added.

'The players were laughing about it'.
