High pressure and drier air will dominate our forecast over the next few days.

Skies will clear tonight, leading to a frosty Tuesday morning.

Acadiana has finally been able to get a front push through the wall of moisture that has been sitting on top of us since early September and temperatures are responding nicely.

Fri: High: 78 Low: 57 Mostly sunny, windy. Low temperatures will be in the lower 50s with upper 40s toward our north - cool enough to bring out the boots and jackets! Highs look to be in the low 70s.

Fortunately, this wonderful weather will linger through the weekend with slightly warmer temperatures. Temperatures will slowly warm back up from the low 80s in the afternoon and will eventually will be in only the mid 80s for the high! Ridge tops will look at lows around 40° and into the lower 40s.

A strong cold front moved across the state on Sunday. Rain chances develop through the afternoon and evening.

Thursday will again be sunny with a high near 77.

The work week will start with cool highs in the 50s on Monday and in the 60s on Tuesday.

The weekend will be even warmer as winds shift more out of the southwest.
