The Virat Kohli-led side thrashed Australia 4-1 in the ODI series before a 1-1 result in the T20s following the abandonment of the third and final match on Friday.

Spinner Todd Astle and wicketkeeper-batsman Glenn Phillips are in line to make their one-day worldwide debuts after being called into the New Zealand squad to play a limited overs series in India from late October.

New Zealand's tour begins with two warm-up games against the Board President's XI before the start of the three-match ODI series followed by a similar length T20I series.

NZC in a statement announcing the squad said, "Ish Sodhi and Tom Bruce will travel with the squad for the ODIs, having been named in the Twenty20 squad".

Wicket-keeper batsman Glenn Phillips and leg-spinner Todd Astle have been added to New Zealand's limited overs squad that will face India away from home.

Gavin Larsen, New Zealand's selector and manager of the "A" team, said Astle and Phillips were selected due to their good show in the domestic circuits and in the "A" games. The ODI series kicks off on October 22 at the Wankhede Stadium. Shardul made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka at the RPS (Colombo) on August 31 and played his second match at the same venue on September 3.

"Glenn has made an immediate effect in domestic cricket and has certainly taken his opportunity over here with New Zealand A, including an outstanding 140 not out". Glenn is an option for us with the gloves in both Twenty20s and ODIs, so we feel we have our bases covered with the 15 we've picked.

Matt Henry, Henry Nicholls, Colin Munro and George Worker are also set to join the squad, with the six additions linking up with the rest of the team following the conclusion of the New Zealand A tour of India.
