"DRC was in and out", McAdoo said after the loss to the Chargers.

You have to wonder if this power play by DRC is a way to get Ben McAdoo, the Giants' head coach, out of the building.

New York Giants?cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie was suspended by the team Wednesday. So the team suspended him. "We had a conversation that was personal", McAdoo said.

The Giants starting 0-5 is hard enough but it now seems that they could be dealing with some internal problems in the locker room.

Giants safety Landon Collins said he believed the issue occurred from what he called an "altercation" between McAdoo and Rodgers-Cromartie on Sunday, according to ESPN.

The Giants suffered an ugly loss on Sunday to the Chargers, falling to 0-5 and losing three receivers for the season in one game, including superstar wideout Odell Beckham. With the addition of free agent Janoris Jenkins and first-round pick Eli Apple, however, his role has diminished slightly in recent years. Apparently Rodgers-Cromartie wasn't interested in being disciplined.

McAdoo provided no other details about why Rodgers-Cromartie opted to go home but Art Stapleton of The Record (N.J.) reports that he was upset with his current usage as a slot corner.

Rodgers-Cromartie has one more year left on the five-year contract he signed before the 2014 season.

New York Giants cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie sacks Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston (3) during the second half of an NFL football game Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017, in Tampa, Fla.
