The new designs are sleek and sophisticated, and Android 8.0 Oreo is a big leap forward for the Android platform that anyone with a non-Google smartphone won't be able to enjoy for months, at least. Today, the battery app found on Pixel and Nexus devices has been similarly added to the Play Store for easier updates.

If you opt for the larger Pixel 2 XL it will set you back a little more with the 64GB model costing £799 and the 128GB version landing in your pocket for £899. Device Health Services helps in offering better statistics about battery usage on your device. It's listed with a $649 price tag or under 24 months of installment with Google Store Financing for only $27.04 per month. Over time, Google will be listing more system apps on the Play Store.

Sure, that makes sense given the extra screen size on the 2 XL, but it's still a significant shift between them.

And now, you can get this useful widget on any Android phone thanks to a new app on the Google Play Store: Another Widget. This update only improves "time remaining" calculations to reflect the device's battery usage. But you can still install Android Oreo right now via SIX AOSP ROM. Developer "Frankie T (R3Ds)" has successfully ported Android 8.0 Oreo for the Nexus 6. Share your views in the comments section below.
