Conte takes responsibility for Chelsea's dodgy display

Mourinho, speaking soon after the 1-0 win over Benfica in Lisbon, aimed a dig at Conte, who had bemoaned the absence of several key players following their 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace, by noting how some managers "cry and cry and cry" over injuries.

"Manchester United came here for a point and got it", Klopp told Sky Sports.

Chelsea supporters have also turned on their one-time hero and taunted him when he returned with his new club in an FA Cup tie at Stamford Bridge last season.

Antonio Conte took the blame for Chelsea's failure to protect their lead in a thrilling 3-3 draw against Roma in the Champions League.

Following his side's victory in Portugal - in which Marcus Rashford limped off with a calf injury - Mourinho said: "I never speak about injuries". It has only been two games, but already Chelsea are counting down the days until Kante returns from the hamstring injury he picked up on global duty.

N'Golo Kante and Danny Drinkwater already sit on the sidelines, which may leave manager Antonio Conte short of options in the middle of the park.

But that's exactly what he got as Luiz suffered a calf injury that forced him off in the second half. The champions of last season have declined massively.

The Belgian international's 75th minute strike keeps Chelsea on top of Group C but leaves them only two points clear of the Romans, ahead of the return fixture in Italy at the end of October.

"It's right to take responsibility for this". "Other managers cry and cry and cry - I don't cry".

"We know that if you look in a pragmatic way, you see the last winners of the Premier League, the last winners of the Premier League, they did not play attacking football", Mourinho had said in September.

This has been evident since the summer, when Conte complained about Chelsea's transfer activity. The best choice would probably be Loftus-Cheek.

"He cried all past year and moaned all last season at Manchester United".
