TULLYTOWN BOROUGH A retail theft suspect accused of fleeing in his vehicle was charged October 3 with third-degree murder after an afternoon traffic collision in Tullytown that killed his two-year-old son.

According to investigators, Kuhn ran a red light, T-boned another auto which then crashed into a third vehicle.

Christopher Kuhn, of Hamilton, New Jersey is accused of stealing speakers and a television from Walmart in Levittown.

Kuhn's gold Jeep SUV ran a red light as it was heading south on Route 13 in Tullytown Borough when it struck another vehicle and rolled over.

Kuhn's vehicle apparently flipped, at that point hit another auto out and about.

Police caught Kuhn after a brief foot chase. Police say Kuhn's son was not in a auto seat.

Police officers ran after him and arrested him shortly afterwards, as officers tended to the boy.

Upon his arrest, Kuhn was charged with third degree murder, homicide by vehicle and related charges following the death of his toddler son in Tullytown, following Tuesday's crash, just after noon.

Amid the crash, Kuhn's 2-year-old child was tossed from the vehicle onto the street. He is being held at the Bucks County prison, with a preliminary hearing on October 10. No one else suffered serious injuries. "Instead of picking up her child last night at 8 o'clock, she got to go visit her son the last time in a hospital".

Tullytown police say Kuhn fled the store at Levittown Town Center early Tuesday afternoon after taking the speakers worth $228. Police said the father delayed to take a gander at his harmed child in the city and after that fled from the scene.

Bucks County District Attorney said that he briefly stopped to look at his son before fleeing.

The father's social media account is filled with picture after picture showing Kuhn happily posing with his son: horsing around in a vehicle, playing superhero dress-up, frolicking in a pool.

Kuhn then ran away after the crash and stepped over his son on the roadway before leaving. He's been jailed, and his bail is set at $5 million.

Court records indicate Kuhn was driving with a suspended permit, Bucks County Courier Times announced.
