Indian ODI squad to face New Zealand: Virat Kohli (C), Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Manish Pandey, Kedar Jadhav, Dinesh Karthik, MS Dhoni, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzi Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Shardul Thakur.

"No doubt he [Virat] is a good batsman and praise from him always gives you confidence and you start believing you can do much better", said Amir, quoted ESPNcricinfo. "He has the best strike rate and average while chasing so he is also the biggest challenge for bowlers around the world", he said before adding, "You become a better bowler when you bowl well against a batsman like Kohli".

In a recent interview, Kohli revealed that Amir was "one of the toughest" bowlers he had faced in his worldwide career. Virat Kohli is one of those players who had welcomed Amir in the worldwide arena after his spot-fixing conviction and ban.

Earlier, Virat Kohli had lavished praise on Mohammad Amir, calling him an "outstanding bowler" during a chat with Bollywood star Aamir Khan. "The way he presented me with the bat in Kolkatta (during ICC World Twenty20 last year) is an ever green memory for me", Amir told Wisden India. "If you give him a chance he takes away the game, like he did in the Dhaka Asia Cup game".

Sachin Tendulkar's son Arjun was the cynosure of eyes at the Wankhede Stadium here on Friday as he bowled to the likes of Virat Kohli and his Indian team-mates at the nets.

The focus of media shifted towards Amir to know his reaction on the latest remarks from Kohli. He took the valuable wicket of Kohli in the all important India final. We might get to see a high-scoring affair in the New Zealand series opener on October 21.
