Trump tweets that he'll head to Alabama to support Sen. Luther Strange

Trump announced the upcoming campaign appearance while spending the weekend at his New Jersey golf club. Luther Strange following the congressman's stinging loss in the first round of primary voting last month.

"I will be in Huntsville, Alabama, on Saturday night to support Luther Strange for Senate".

"I am proud to have President Trump's endorsement in this race and I am looking forward to his trip to Alabama", said Luther Strange in a press release. "Big Luther" is a great guy who gets things done!" That's three days before a tightly contested September 26 Republican runoff between odd and Roy Moore, the state's former chief justice. WHNT also confirmed the announcement through the odd for Senate campaign.

Mo Brooks is throwing his support behind former state Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore in the state's Senate primary runoff against Sen. Trump endorsed odd before the August primary.

Moore led odd in the first round of GOP voting.
