The last piece of Red Dead Redemption 2 news we got was all the way back in May. The tweet is pretty vague, but the font and background are clearly from Red Dead Redemption. Perhaps Rockstar Games is going to make another major announcement or drop a trailer with an actual release date.

Red Dead Redemption 2's absence at E3 2017 and successive games industry trade shows was marked by gamers and industry figures alike, but Rockstar Games typically moves at it's own pace and doesn't need big showcases to draw millions of viewers.

Rockstar Games today posted up a simple advertisement promo for Red Dead Redemption 2, promising more content updates coming next week. Expectedly, players who have been anticipating the RDR 2 were less than amused by the announcement, while GTA fans were pleased with how Take-Two has sorted out its priorities.

The original Red Dead Redemption was a critically acclaimed masterpiece and remains one of the famed developer's finest titles. It will be interesting to see whether Rockstar will announce any tie-ins to the upcoming Xbox One X.

The RealGear team remains committed to informing you promptly if new information on the matter emerges.
