Mann Ki Baat: PM says cleanliness become a mass movement

He asked people to buy a Khadi product this Gandhi Jayanti and light the lamp of prosperity in the lives of the poor, thus supporting the movement for the growth of the Khadi industry.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday called upon the citizens to travel different parts of India during vacations to "understand" the meaning of the slogan "unity in diversity" and "internalize" it.

The stated reason for calling this extraordinary session, however, is that it marks the end of a year-long programme to commemorate Deen Dayal Upadhyay's 100th birth anniversary.
