If you're unfamiliar with Thatgamecompany, they've been around for just over a decade and are known for creating games with a heavy emphasis on art and emotions.

Demonstrated for the first time during Apple's conference earlier today, showing off the power of the newly announced Apple TV 4K, the gameplay is single touch orientated, making it seemingly a flawless fit for the platform. Now, the studio's next game has been revealed: Sky.

Up to eight players across the world can play together, working as a team to explore secret areas, solving puzzles, and summoning magical creatures. This, according to Chen, makes Sky incredibly approachable to everyone.

Chen called the game a "romantic social game", stating that it's meant for even the most casual gamers to be able to get into. Players take control of the Children of Light, and their goal is to bring the light "where it is needed the most". If you can imagine the delight of visiting a theme park where lasting memories are made, we envision Sky will sometimes feel like that.

Sky will be available for the iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV, with the latter supporting 4K resolution and Siri controller support. That said, the Apple-first launch news will certainly leave console fans salty.
