Jon Jones 'B' Sample Returns Same Positive Result for Steroids

This is the second failed drug test of his career after he tested positive for anti-estrogenic agents ahead of UFC 200, with this failed urine test coming back positive for the anabolic steroid Turinabol.

There will be no miracle stemming from the testing of Jon Jones' B sample, taken as part of his failed UFC 214 drug test.

It must be noted that "B" samples rarely ever return different results from the "A" sample. The "A" sample came back positive for the same substance. ESPN's Brett Okamoto was the first to report on the news.

"Mr. Jones "B" sample has confirmed the "A" sample findings," a USADA spokesperson said in a statement.

The result was likely expected by Jones and his team following the positive test from the "A" sample but now the reigning light heavyweight champion will begin his adjudication process. He claimed the positive tests were a result of a contaminated sexual enhancement pill.

Jones defeated Daniel Cormier at the fight to win the UFC light heavyweight title. Jones served a one year suspension. "Bones" is looking at the possibility of up to a four-year ban from competition and also has to worry about a ban from the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), who will most likely mirror the CSAC's decision.

Now with a second positive test coming back nearly exactly one year later, Jones faces an even stiffer penalty as a result.

Jones' next step will be arbitration with USADA, a process he should be familiar with.
