While Google is working with merchants like redBus and Domino's to allow for payments of products and services, it has also unveiled an API that will allow all merchants to support Tez down the road.

Google Tez, a UPI based mobile payments app has finally been launched in India after several leaks and confirmations. With a clean interface, Tez app is truly user-friendly. Tez means fast in Hindi, which the company said this was an attribute of their new app. Once verified, Google prompts the user to add a UPI PIN, and then they can start making payments.

Google in a note stated that "Send money home to your family, split a dinner bill with friends, or pay the neighborhood chaiwala". So, we can expect the upcoming smartphones from these brands to include Google's Tez has a pre-installed app. To know more, visit the source link below. Tez allows people to pay directly from their bank. The app works with all major banks and Google has roped in Axis, HDFC Bank, ICICI and State Bank of India as partners for the new venture. Also, the mobile app supports seven Indian languages including Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil and Telgu, besides English, so that users of nearly all major Indian languages can use the app with utmost ease. For money transfers, there is a limit of ₹1,00,000 or 20 transfers in a day across all UPI apps. We are an intermediary creating a link between you and the respective Payment System Providers, enabling you to make and receive payments using Payment System Provider Services. This is made possible as the virtual address is linked to the bank account.

You will need a mobile, internet or other supported device that meets certain system and compatibility requirements, which may change from time to time.

Tez has already gone live on Google's Play Store, though there's no iOS version of the app yet. You will have to provide basic bank details such as account number and IFSCcode, as you would do for internet banking or mobile banking.

For security, each transaction will need the UPI pin whereas to log in to the application one can secure it with Google PIN or a fingerprint. Apart from the UPI based payments, the app also features Cash Mode option to instantly send or receive payments without sharing personal details like your phone number or bank account.

Moreover, Google also has interesting offers such as scratch cards and referral rewards for the app. For any issue related to the app, the Google helpline number, and chat support is available everyday.
