Midfielder Eden Hazard will start for Chelsea for the first time this season in their Carabao Cup third-round tie with Nottingham Forest.

However, Kenedy was not shipped off by the Premier League champions during the summer transfer window and has been training with Antonio Conte's men since the start of the 2017/18 campaign.

"I think, for Eden, now is the right moment to start the game and try to play the whole game", he told a news conference.

'We have managed his situation very well and we are at the final step of his injury now'.

Hazard won the Premier League with both Mourinho and Conte, in 2015 and 2017, respectively, as well as being named PFA Player of the Year and runner-up.

The latter was making his first appearance since being sent home from a pre-season tour of China and set the hosts on their way with an early opener.

Conte opted against loaning out the youngster again for the second half of last season and was retained this term, training with the first-team with hopes of breaking into the starting XI.

'I trust Charly. I think he could play as a number 10, as a left winger and in the future maybe as a wing-back'.

'It is nice to know that the manager trusts you and he says he trust everyone and it is a good thing, ' Christensen told Chelsea's official site.

"I think Eden is a top player and he improved a lot". He played maybe every game and now he's ready to play. We are talking about a great club with a great history. "I trust him. It's important for the coach to trust a young player but also important to have good answer when the chance to play arrives".

"We work a lot".

The teenager replaced Cesc Fabregas in the 55th minute at Stamford Bridge and in doing so, he became the youngest player to debut for the Blues in over ten years at 17 years and six days old.
