David also revealed what has changed since the last season of the show. Ever since its premiere 16 years ago (yes, really) "Curb" has centered on David's character's recalcitrance, on his stubbornness, on his deep and abiding inability to learn from anything ever. The series also stars Cheryl Hines as Larry's ex-wife Cheryl, Jeff Garlin as David's manager Jeff, Susie Essman as Jeff's wife Susie and JB Smoove as Leon.

Larry David is, unsurprisingly, still peeved and frustrated with everything and everyone in the upcoming ten-episode season. Brownstein - along with people like Bryan Cranston, Jimmy Kimmel, Lauren Graham, Nick Offerman, and Nasim Pedrad - will be one of the guest stars on the new Curb season.

Season nine of Curb Your Enthusiasm begins 10/1 on HBO. The promo emphasizes the fact that "nothing has changed" as it introduces the fictionalized antics of the famously cranky David, as he once again pisses everyone off and gets into pointless dilemmas. "We are no better than the beasts in the field!" he says before "yoo-hooing" a judge - a moment that could have appeared in the mid-'00s.

When asked why he made a decision to come back, David previously said, "In the immortal words of Julius Caesar, 'I left, I did nothing, I returned'". It's like coming home.

Curb Your Enthusiasm returns after six years off the air for a ninth season on 1 October. See the full trailer below.
