That's always been Call of Duty's MO, but COD: WWII is another thing entirely. It seems like it'll cover fairly familiar ground for video games: a squad survives the beach landing in Normandy, the Battle of the Bulge is involved and there's a series of skirmishes throughout Germany.

What do you think of the trailer? Call of Duty: WWII focuses on the actions of a squad from 1944 to 1945, but will also touch on events from 1940 to 1944 to help set the stage for the narrative and establish the characters.

A brand new story trailer for the upcoming Call of Duty: WWII has been released, showing off some of the more cinematic aspects of the upcoming World War II-themed shooter.

The game is sure to be a hit with fans, who have been asking for a historical-based "Call of Duty" installment after the last few games in the franchise have all featured future-tech and settings. If this trailer is any indication, the story for Call of Duty: WWII will be head and shoulders above anything Activision has published before.

That said, they will definitely continue in their attempts to win us over- we will be getting new information on the game's story mode every day until the end of the month. The game itself will release on November 3 2017.
