All Xbox 360 'Halo' titles are now playable on the Xbox One

The console costs 2,199 Brazillian real, which is also apparently around the same price as the original Xbox One when it initially launched in the country.

The console is still available from Argos at the time of writing. However, being an Xbox One launch title, you'd have to think Microsoft placed a fair amount of emphasis on getting one of their games to top dog status as far as visuals are concerned.

Unlike Sony's console, Microsoft is endowing the Xbox One X with a 4K Ultra HD player, making it possible to play those 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Discs gradually making their way out, and it will even play all of the Xbox One games as well.

All Xbox 360-era Halo games, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo 4 and Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, are now backwards compatible for the Xbox One and Xbox One S. (Halo: Reach was already backwards compatible with the system).

Microsoft's Albert Penello teased how the Redmond-based tech giant may tackle the typical console generational upgrades in an MCV UK interview.

Microsoft South Africa said the clearance certification for the Xbox One Xto land locally is still being approved, and is the reason for the delay.

"I don't know what the future holds, but I do know that we care a lot about compatibility and in this day and age people have shifted to caring more about their community and their apps, than caring about the piece of hardware that they're on, and we have just moved with that", he explained.

The Xbox One X releases on November 7th, 2017. In response to a fan's question about how future proofed the Xbox One X might be, he re-iterated that it was created to be the most powerful console ever made.
