You can use Airbnb to book a room in nearly all countries across the globe but now you will be able to use the app to book a table at a restaurant as well.

The report comes as Airbnb announces a partnership in the U.S. with restaurant booking-app Resy, where guests can book restaurants directly through Airbnb's app and website.

Airbnb users will now be able to book a table at popular restaurants like Petit Crenn in San Francisco, Kismet in Los Angeles, Bateau in Seattle, or Thip Khao in Washington, D.C. without having to leave the Airbnb app.

It now includes almost 650 restaurants curated by Resy, which carefully selects restaurants based on quality.

Starting today, users can make a reservation at hundreds of restaurants throughout the US including in Miami.

Users can search within Airbnb for restaurants by cuisine, time of day, type of meal, and location. The home-sharing platform's restaurant spending report also found that Airbnb guests spent $6.5 billion at restaurants in 44 different markets around the world over the past year. The company is also working on translating it across multiple languages.

"Airbnb guests are looking for restaurants and experiences that allow them to live like locals, and this partnership will make it easier to for guests to discover Denver's unique local dining options", said Marisa Moret, Airbnb's policy manager, in a prepared statement. "The seamless integration into the Airbnb app will help travelers and locals alike book sought-after tables at "bucket list" restaurants in top dining cities across America".
