2 terrorists killed during infiltration bid in J&K's Machhil sector

Two militants were killed today as the Indian Army foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in Machhil sector of north Kashmir's Kupwara district. The combing operation continued in the area till last reports came in. Two terrorists were shot down in the ensuing gun battle. "Weapons and warlike stores have been recovered from the slain terrorists", the sources said.

Meanwhile, Pakistan violated ceasefire violation in Arnia Sector on Saturday. Indian Army gave a befitting response against the ceasefire violation following the firing from across the global border had reportedly stopped.

Meanwhile, Pakistani troops targeted Indian border outposts and hamlets along the International Border (IB) in Jammu district in overnight firing and shelling, a senior BSF officer said.

Superintendent of Police Kupwara, Shamsher Hussain, confirmed that police had received bodies of two non-local militants from the army. Alert troops of the Army foiled the infiltration bid.
