The Verge will have full coverage of IFA and the Samsung Gear S4 (or whatever the company decides to call it) beginning on September 1st. This battery life is decreased to just nine hours if you leave the new standalone Global Positioning System on all the time.

The Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro is capable of automatically detecting and logging various athletic exercises, from tenis to basketball, swimming and "even dance moves", aiming to motivate you with pre-loaded UA Record, MapMyRun, MyFitnessPal and Endomondo apps. Samsung Mobile president DJ Koh confirmed that the upcoming Gear watches will be launched in Berlin, next week.

Overnight Samsung were expected to announce the new Gear Fit 2 Pro at their Unpacked event in NY but unfortunately it was not mentioned during the event. We don't have much information about the Gear S4, but thanks to Samsung's Malaysian website, Gear Fit 2 Pro activity tracker product page revealed a lot.

Aside from enhanced water protection (up to 50 meters this time around), very little about the fitness tracker's specs and features seems to have changed compared to the 2016 edition. Users will also be able to download more watch-faces from the Galaxy App Store. We've also been hearing rumors of a successor to the company's Gear Fit 2 for quite some time now - in fact, of the device.

The price of the Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro, expected to launch alongside the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 today, may have been leaked on Twitter. The battery pack is promised to provide three to four days of battery life.

Evan Blass, serial leakster, revealed that the device will retail for $199.99 in the US.
