The current expected announcement date is the 24th of August with Motorola apparently scheduling an event in Sao Paulo Brazil. The latest leak is in line with final rendered images put out by tipster Evan Blass last week. Earlier we saw seemingly sketchy images of the handset leak but thanks to an exclusive source, we can now confirm all the details around Motorola's upcoming mid-range flagship. The most prominent feature visible is the Moto X4's dual rear camera setup. Starting from the front panel, one can front flash along with an earpiece and front-facing camera at the top, while at the base, there is a fingerprint sensor, which might come with gesture support. There is a USB Type-C port at the bottom along with a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The rig might come with a glass back with curved edges.

The Verizon Moto Z2 Force Edition will be ready with Gigabit Class LTE service when it's launched before 2017 ends. You won't miss any photo opportunities when the Moto Mod is installed because the GamePad has a cut-out hole so that the rear camera isn't blocked by the accessory. This is highly admirable since it is rumoured that the X4 would be the first Motorola MOTO device to receive an IP ingress resistance certification.

On the hardware front, the Moto X4 will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor clocked at 2.2GHz, however, a recent listing reveals that it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor.

Recollecting some previous leaks, the smartphone will come loaded with a 5.2-inch screen with a full HD resolution. Out of the box the MOTO X4 is running a lightly skinned flavour of Android v.7.1.1, Nougat. With an internal battery with a 1,035mAh capacity, the GamePad should manage up to 8 hours worth of gaming.
