Variety announces that 13 Reasons Why has added seven new actors to its upcoming second season. The cast additions are led by Tony-winning Broadway veteran Kelli O'Hara (Masters of Sex), who'll play Jackie, an "advocate for victims of bullying".

O'Hara was born in Elk City, growing up there and later becoming a graduate of Deer Creek High School in Edmond before studying voice at Oklahoma City University. According to reports, the series will revolve around the lawsuit filed by Hannah Baker's parents against the Liberty High.

For the students, Winters is set to play Chloe, the "beautiful "it girl" at Liberty High and the new head cheerleader", per Variety.

Bryce Cass will play Cyrus, who is edgy, mischievous and serves as champion of the downtrodden.

Logan takes on the role of Nina, a talented and respected track star who harbors a big secret. She's previously appeared in Teen Wolf and films Polaroid and The Empty Man. Miller starred in Syfy's Incorporated and Fox's Terra Nova.

Finally, there's Lawson as Rick, the well-loved and revered baseball coach at Liberty High. Lawson appeared in the rom-com No Strings Attached, and shows including Modern Family and 2 Broke Girls.

We can debate all day whether or not Netflix's 13 Reasons Why should have a second season, but the plain truth is that the streaming service is moving forward with the sophomore run whether it's necessary or not.
