Coutinho's actions are a surprise, because when players officially ask to leave, they usually prefer to do it through their representatives. No, of course not.

Two minutes later and Liverpool took the lead for the first time when Salah was on hand at the back post to convert after a Firmino cross-cum-shot found his team mate.

While the Merseysiders are definitely not the best defenders in the league, their disorganization at set-pieces will leave fans disheartened as the season gathers momentum.

"The problem here are Barcelona, because they will be saying to Coutinho's representatives: 'It's now or never". It's the first game of the season and we're going to try to work hard for the next games.

"We don't have too many midfield players in the moment who have experience", Klopp told the Liverpool Echo. Physicality in the beginning and not being ready for these things.

Goals from Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah put Liverpool on their way to victory at Vicarage Road until Britos' equaliser.

But a short while after that statement was published, Coutinho submitted a formal transfer request to the club.

Coutinho missed Liverpool's enthralling 3-3 draw with Watford today due to injury but it remains to be seen where the 25-year-old will be playing next month. "I am responsible for the whole team, all the players, so I need to be focused on the players who are available". So we want to keep our guys and add new ones.

"I can not say a lot about it", he told Sky Sports.

"What I can say, as manager in a football club, I have bosses". And if the bosses decide, for example, just in general, if we sell a player or we don't sell him, then I have to accept it. Alberto lost the challenge, which can happen obviously - maybe it was a foul or not, I'm not sure - there was a gap open, they played a pass and I thought it was offside, I'm not sure if it was.

Jürgen Klopp has revealed what he said to Mo Salah to help him improve on his full Liverpool debut while admitting his side's set piece defending needs work.
