Since Google has recently released the fourth and last Android O Developer Preview, it seems the now delay may not be a long one and it may release at any time.

There have been a lot of conflicting reports about the upcoming version of Android.

In a series of tweets, Ruddock says Google has pushed the release of Android O back from an initially planned release date and there is no new one that he's aware of.

We are all excited for the launch of Android O. Are you? When the Developer Preview process is completed, it flags, it will differentiate between hardware platforms targeted for prototyping-only.

Despite some recent reports suggesting that Android O may be delayed, a Twitter post from Evan Blass suggests that all is well and Android O will launch on August 21. At the event, the company also gave a sneak peek into some of the features coming in Android O, the new Android version arriving later this year. Android O will bring features such as app badges, revamped settings interface, snooze notifications, new emojis among other great features.

Using Google's advanced machine learning techniques, Android O will bring the ability to select texts, recognise it as an address, email ID or a contact number, and will show related options.

This unconfirmed new rumor claims that the Pixel smartphones won't be getting the new Android O update in the mid-august. Android O comes with a multitude of back-end improvements as well such as better battery management algorithms, app optimisations, audio enhancements like improved Bluetooth audio and so on.

Google also flags that it will be making things easier tp start with prototypes, before scaling to production. The developer preview version lets them complete their app development and testing on time using final system behavior, latest bug fixes and optimizations, and the final application planning interface or APIs.
