The announcement of Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition surprised everyone.

As you might have heard, Final Fantasy XV is expected to find its way onto the PC in the future.

The FINAL FANTASY XV POCKET EDITION for iOS, Android and Windows 10 devices, to be released later this year, is an all-new adventure that retells the beloved story of FINAL FANTASY XV, giving fans and newcomers alike the freedom to journey through Eos whenever and from wherever they want. Especially if they beef up the Pocket Edition a bit by offering the full game all at once (no chapter separation) and offering other Switch-exclusive content that may not be on mobile. As a bonus the first episode can be downloaded for free when the game releases this autumn.

What wasn't announced was a Nintendo Switch version but it was strongly hinted at.

Square Enix and director Hajime Tabata is at Gamescom 2017, where they revealed that the Final Fantasy XV team is now thinking about making something on the Nintendo Switch. In a clip if the live stream, you can see that the team went as far as saying it's coming without actually saying it. Although the gameplay angles of these two titles are very different, it's clear that Square Enix is hoping to tap into the full financial potential of what was an incredibly costly investment. Their premium games tend to come at a premium cost. However, there is no any specific launch date announced by the developers and publishers, it's just an imaginary date that the reports have claimed for this game.
