Marquee summer signing Alexandre Lacazette shot Arsenal into an early lead before Shinji Okazaki levelled the scores five minutes later. Ramsey tied the score 3-3 in the 83rd minute with a nice strike from inside the penalty area, and Giroud got the victor two minutes later with a header that Kasper Schmeichel was unable to keep out of the net.

Schmeichel's saves were keeping Leicester in front but he was beaten when Ramsey got on the end of Granit Xhaka's cross and, again, when substitute Giroud headed in a corner.

"But at some stage I opened the door for him because I knew that I had many strikers".

"Not only as a player, he is a fantastic player, but as well in the group".

"I think we have all seen the amusing business of the transfer window and we never know what is round the corner".

"It was the first game of the season", Cech said, "and it was a classic for everybody to watch". "Then we made mistakes and they punished us", he said.

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has revealed that "something in his soul and his heart" convinced him to reject the chance to leave the Emirates Stadium in this summer's transfer window.

The Frenchman grabbed a hat trick on the opening day of last season while he was still at Lyon and his opening day record far eclipses his current Arsenal teammates'. It was a relief for me he chose to stay.

Jamie Vardy of Leicester City scores his side's third goal in their Premier League opener, which they ultimately lost 4-3, against Aresnal on Friday night in London.

The subs paid off, with Ramsey scoring in the 83rd minute to make it 3-3 and Giroud heading in off the post two minutes later to win a thrilling encounter for Arsenal.

Bet 365 are giving odds of 8/15 for Arsenal to see past Leicester. "We were quite good a year ago on corners and overall I believe that with a bit of work we can get that out of the system".

"You would like him to give that but once he gives it we have to defend the second phase better".

The Serie A side have now said they will not increase their offer and Shakespeare is happy to have Mahrez in the team.

"I think we have all seen the amusing business of the transfer window and we never know what is round the corner".
