Bandai Namco has revealed that Trunks will be part of Dragon Ball FighterZ roster when it launches next year, while a closed beta will also be coming soon.

The Super Saiyan son of Vegeta is seen battling his father and other Dragonball Z characters such as his arch-nemesis Cell and the villainous Frieza in a new gameplay trailer released Sunday. Registrations for the beta will open later this month on July 26.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in early 2018. Unlike other fighting games based on anime series, such as Naruto and other Dragon Ball properties, Dragon Ball FighterZ will maintain the 2D anime art style. The characters Trunks was beating up in the reveal trailer will likely be included in the beta.
