Six dead in Bowling Green Interstate 65 crash

As of 12:30 a.m. police say that the Warren County Coroner, Smiths Grove Fire Department, and Highway Department are on scene to assist in redirecting traffic.

Police responded to the call of an injury accident northbound near the 30 mile marker at approximately 10:38 p.m., and it was determined that the collision involved two passenger vehicles and two commercial vehicles. A second commercial vehicle traveling in the same lane failed to stop, striking the trailing passenger vehicle and causing a chain-reaction collision.


FIRST UPDATE: BOWLING GREEN, Ky.

Multiple people have died as a result of a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 65 in Kentucky.


The crash killed one person.

All lanes of I-65 were reopened before 7 a.m. The collision involves two passenger vehicles and two commercial vehicles. All northbound interstate traffic is being diverted onto United States 31W, near mile marker 28. Further details would ba made public later in the day, the State Police said.
