"I can't say anything", said Klopp after the 1-1 friendly draw with Wigan on Friday in which Salah scored in his first appearance.

A lively start to his opening 45 minutes in a Red shirt was matched with a debut goal at the end of it. Coutinho fed fellow Brazilian Roberto Firmino, who unselfishly squared for Salah to tap in the equaliser, after Alex Gilbey's opener.

The Egyptian worldwide, who completed his move to Merseyside from Serie A giants AS Roma, earlier in the window, was forced to sit out Wednesday night's 4-0 pre-season friendly against Tranmere Rovers due to busy satisfying immigration laws. Driving forward and firing a shot over the bar, before combining with Adam Lallana to fee Firmino, who should have found the net from close range.

"I personally see Jurgen Klopp as a ideal fit for the club", Cook told the Liverpool Echo.

Klopp said about debutant Salah: "He had two days with us, then he had to go to Paris, get the papers, but now he's here and we thought "let's play him".

"But you could tell he is used to a completely different way of defending. But another game, no injuries, good". "It's just a sign, but that's important".

Following the Wigan match, Liverpool will head out to Hong Kong for next weeks Asia Trophy games, where they first take on Crystal Palace on Wednesday.

"We can not buy players because other teams buy players".

"That's quite hard. We should've given the list on July 8 but I couldn't because I didn't know who was injured and who was not when we fly, so tonight I'll make the decision".

"I have no idea at the moment, but in a few moments I will know".
