This year, another politician promises to be the fair's rock star: Former Vice President Joe Biden will make an appearance.

The 19-city nationwide book tour kicks off November 13 in NY. Two days before the book is released, an interview with Oprah Winfrey will air on Winfrey's OWN network. The book, due out November 14, will not only touch on the big political moments of Biden's life, including his work with President Barack Obama, but will also deal with the loss of his son Beau, who died at 46 of brain cancer, and how Biden is finding new goal in a troubled political time.

The book's title comes from something Beau Biden said to his fatherat their last Thanksgiving together: "Promise me, Dad". "It depends on the state of my health and the health of whoever is running".

"The answer is that I had planned on running for president, and although it would've been a hard primary, I think I could've won", Biden said in March, during a Q-and-A interview at Colgate University.

'I have always been fortunate to have an incredible support system around me, and I understand how many people in this country go through far worse than I have, with far less support'.

According to a prepared statement announcing the tour, Biden will reveal the big political moments of his career, the life-altering choices he made and the key traits that have helped him persevere through challenges.

"It's pretty special to have a vice president in the house", he said, adding that Proctors had been in touch with Biden's representatives for some time before recently receiving confirmation of his visit.
