Dani Ceballos signs for Real Madrid

REAL MADRID have announced the signing of Dani Ceballos fom Real Betis for a reported £15.9million.

"Later, Dani Ceballos will step for the first time the lawn of the Santiago Bernabéu in the shirt of Real Madrid and will attend to the means of communication in the press room".

Madrid announced signing of the 21-year-old, who was named player of the tournament at under-21 championship this summer, in an official statement.

"The player will be presented on Thursday, July 20, at 1:00 p.m., in the arena of honor of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium".

Ceballos, 23, made his Betis debut in 2014 and two years ago signed a new contract util 2020.

And Ceballos is the latest join, following Theo Hernandez.

Madrid are reportedly paying €17 million - more than his €15m release clause - to ensure they did not lose out on the youngster to Barca.

His signing follows the departure of 2014 World Cup Golden Boot victor James Rodriguez, who joined Bayern Munich on loan earlier this week.

He will then fly to the United States the next day to link up with the rest of the squad for pre-season training and tour friendlies.
