The President has maintained having no knowledge of the meeting until the Times' reporting. The White House announced Cobb's appointment on Saturday. "It's something that enormous White House and administration resources have been devoted to since day one". Instead, Trump has remained largely aloof save for stray remarks - such as his tweet calling for a straight repeal of the Affordable Care Act - that have only made cobbling together votes harder. "For weeks", the New York Times reported Friday, McGahn "has been urging Mr. Trump to bolster his in-house team with a seasoned lawyer to help deal with an expected flood of document requests" from Department of Justice special counsel Robert Mueller. Kasowitz apologised after emails of the conversation were made public.

White House press secretary Sean Spicer said Monday that while President Donald Trump is looking to create an environment to make more products domestically through tax and regulatory reform, he conceded that "Made in America" may not be achievable for all industries.

Mr. Trump already has an outside legal team managing Russian Federation issues, led by attorney Marc Kasowitz.

Donald Trump Jr. has acknowledged that he met in NY with Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya after he was told she might have damaging information about his father's rival, Democrat Hillary Clinton.

In addition to Kasowitz, others members on Trump's Russian Federation team outside of the White House include lawyer Jay Sekulow and public relations consultant Mark Corallo.

The president's team also recently contacted another high-profile Washington lawyer, Emmet Flood, a partner at Williams & Connolly, who had previously rejected Trump's entreaties.

Gorelick (pictured above left) said she is "completing the work" Kushner - US president Donald Trump's son-in-law - originally hired her to do before Trump took office, such as handling Kushner's ethics compliance, security clearance and other federal disclosures.

Gorelick noted in the statement that as a result of that legal advice, Abbe Lowell will be the attorney handling the Russia-related inquiries. Special Counsel Robert Mueller also has a team of crack investigators probing Russian Federation as well as issues related to potential obstruction of justice.

Abbe Lowell will now handle Russian Federation inquiries. Abigail Klem, who took over as brand president, told The Post that, although the brand is looking for ways to make some goods in the United States, "to do it at a large scale is now not possible".
