How a smartphone looks now accounts for about half a consumer's purchase decision, with the assessment formed in roughly one second, according to Charles L. Mauro, president of MauroNewMedia, a product-design research firm that has done consulting work for Apple and Samsung.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is rumored to feature a 6.3 inch display with a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and the device will apparently come with different processors depending on the region.

The renders indicate that, like the Samsung Galaxy S8, the device will have nearly no bezel, and will sport an AMOLED screen with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio.

The Groupon deal seems even more attractive than recent Amazon deals for the same devices.

The device is expected to be official unveiled some time later next month, with a release on the market shortly after. All these phones will be at least as expensive as the Galaxy S8 phones when they launch in the coming months. While the Galaxy Note 7 proved to be a disaster for the South-Korean tech giant, it has got lot of expectations from the impending Galaxy Note 8. What do you think of the latest Note 8 renders; are you a fan?

One interesting thing to note about this render is that the "Galaxy Note8" is missing from the back.

OnLeaks, a reliable source of leaked information, tweeted a photo that contained three variations of a Galaxy Note 8 tempered glass screen protector.

This new device is expected to include a swathe of improvements over its predecessor including a new curved AMOLED Infinity display and dual-lens camera which should help boost its photography credentials. The key change is that the joint between with top-metal panel and the screen of the upcoming device is flat, while the Galaxy S8 series' joint has curves at the right and left corners.
