Woman Dead in Londonderry, NH Car Accident

Police say 22-year-old Julia Melendez of Boston was driving north on Interstate 93 Friday when she lost control of the vehicle and hit a guardrail. The woman suffered minor injuries, but the child was flown to Boston Children's Hospital with serious injuries, State Police said.

A Mattapan woman died Friday night in Londonderry, N.H., after a auto she was driving crashed into a guardrail on Interstate 93 northbound, according to officials.

A woman is dead after a vehicle accident in Londonderry, New Hampshire on Friday evening around 7:15 p.m., according to police.

A passenger, 21-year-old Karina Feliz, of Bradford, Massachusetts, was transported to Elliott Hospital for the treatment of minor injuries.

The accident remains under investigation and anyone with information is encouraged to contact Trooper T. Ssonko at the New Hampshire State Police - Troop B Barracks at 603-223-4381. Crash victims were being evaluated for injuries at that scene, police officials said.

Police initially closed down all lanes on the northbound side of I-93 but then opened it up to one lane for several hours as they worked to clear the scene.
