Woods said it was "an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications" in his apology and statement on the incident, per Steve DiMeglio of USA Today.

Kaymer, a victor of two majors, grew up in Germany and was one of the countless golfers around the globe who looked up to Woods.

The former world No 1 was arrested in the early hours of Monday morning in Florida after being found asleep at the wheel of his parked auto. In the video above, Woods can be seen slurring his speech while answering questions at the Palm Beach County Jail, and moving sluggishly.

He appears confused as to how he can carry out the task, and asks "How am I going to hold it?"

Jupiter Police Department released dashboard footage of the former world No 1 failing to pass a sobriety test a short drive from his home.

Woods, 41, is charged with driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages, chemical substances or controlled substances and was also cited for improper stopping, standing or parking in an illegal place.

An officer asks him to take a seat so they can go through the Breathalyzer test and he shuffles barefoot over to a chair against the wall.

A law enforcement official conducting the test is heard instructing him multiple time to blow into the tube of the machine rather than sucking in.

The operator whistles at the befuddled golf star to try to get his attention. Why don't you try to do the opposite and help him now in the way he inspired us?.

"Um, yeah, there's just a problem: I can't unlock my two bracelets", he says, turning around and showing the officers his handcuffs.

Woods' Mercedes had two flat tires and "fresh damage" on the driver's side when cops found him asleep behind the wheel.

Woods is scheduled to be arraigned July 5 in Palm Beach County Court.

Woods, who blames the incident on a reaction to prescription drugs, then says he doesn't remember what happened or being asleep in his vehicle.

Late Thursday, more video surfaced of Woods in lock-up, struggling to take a breathalyzer test.

Woods is recovering from his fourth back surgery in April to alleviate ongoing pain in his back and leg.
