Fabinho played a key role in Monaco's Ligue 1 triumph last season, and their run to the Champions League semifinals.

Manchester United target, Fabinho, has admitted that a move to the Premier League club would be "tempting".

Today, Fabinho is close to joining Man Utd....

He's particularly interested in Fabinho's versatility, with the 23-year-old capable of playing in a number of different positions, including central midfield, right-back and wing-back.

Monaco have already lost Bernardo Silva to City while midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko and forward Kylian Mbappe have been linked with moves away.

With the outlines agreed, the two clubs will thrash out the fine print of an agreement but it has been suggested that a final deal between the two clubs will be done soon.

The Swedish centre-back moved for around £30.8m, while names such as Alvaro Morata, James Rodriguez and even Cristiano Ronaldo continue to be linked with Old Trafford.

United are among those linked with the Brazil worldwide, who told Esporte Interativo in his homeland that he would be open to an approach. I'll talk about it with my agent, we must decide what's the best thing for everybody. "Sure enough, I would think well about it".

The 23-year-old Brazilian worldwide was handed his senior professional debut by Mourinho when they previously worked together at Real Madrid.

Yet a deal to sign Fabinho would be something of a coup for United in what is a crowded and competitive market for one of Europe's most wanted players.
