She sued Cosby in 2005 where he testified as part of that lawsuit, he later settled the case for a sum that was undisclosed. The jury will continue to review the evidence presented in the case and have been asking the judge, Steven T. O'Neill, questions relating to clarification of any information presented to them.

Cosby has pleaded not guilty to the felony charge, and has claimed that in 2004, he and Constand had a consensual sexual encounter.

The jury of seven men and five women were bused in from Allegheny County near Pittsburgh and have been sequestered in a hotel for the trial.

Constand initially told police about the alleged assault in January 2005, a year after she says it took place.

Ms Constand testified the pills left her disoriented and unable to resist him. Cosby is accused of drugging and sexually assaulting Constand at his home outside Philadelphia in 2004. He faces up to ten years in prison for each charge. They will resume deliberations Thursday morning.

Since the prosecution and the defense gave closing arguments Monday in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, the jury has spent more than 13 hours behind closed doors examining the details of the case and requested that testimony be read back to them during deliberations.

A new one, District Attorney Kevin Steele, reversed course a decade later, after dozens of women came forward to accuse Cosby of sexual misconduct and after the public release of his startling deposition in which he spoke about giving the powerful sedative quaaludes to women he wanted to have sex with.

As restless reporters and passers-by waited for a verdict Wednesday, the scene outside the Montgomery County Courthouse was at times tedious - and occasionally lively.

Having been in contact with Cosby before the trial and after she showed up to support him, Pulliam shared some insight into his mindset. After several days of graphic testimony, the prosecution rested and the defense began its case June 12 but rested in approximately six minutes after calling one witness, Detective Richard Schaffer. In clear and firm statements, she said Cosby, a powerful Temple alum, mentored her and took an interest in her career like a father figure. Prosecutors rejected filing a case against Cosby based on Goins' allegations, which they said investigators could not corroborate.

The Associated Press does not typically identify people who say they are victims of sexual assault unless they grant permission, which Constand has done.

Cosby's lawyers have argued Constand was Cosby's willing lover before she invented the assault as a way of getting to his money.

Incidentally, Constand's version of what Cosby supposedly did to her while on prescription Quaaludes in 2004, as documents from a 2005 deposition between Andrea and the actor revealed, as CNN shared, mirrored that of almost 60 other women's experiences with the entertainer between 1965 and 2008, according to Rolling Stone.
