"It was a proud day for our coaching staff to watch the draft and see these young men realizing goals that had been discussed in the recruiting process years ago", Schwartz added.

UA previously had two high school signees drafted on the first two day of the draft. He posted a 3.04 ERA and 11 saves over 24 appearances in his senior season with 22 strikeouts and an opponent batting average of.259 over 47.1 innings.

The selections of Muhl and Joey Bartosic (19th round, Colorado) mark the first time the Colonials have had multiple draft picks in the same season since 2010 when Eric Cantrell (seventh round) and Tom Zebroski (45th round) were both selected by the Kansas City Royals. Breaux batted.356 with a.476 on-base percentage this season. Cullman High School left-handed pitcher Jacob Heatherley was chosen 77th overall in the third round by the Cincinnati Reds.
