A more comfortable, attractive day ahead for Tuesday

TODAY: Mostly cloudy skies and scattered rain showers continue for early today, with rain tapering off this afternoon as high temperatures top out at 80 degrees. Breezy. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. Slightly better rain chances will come Tuesday as we introduce a frontal boundary into the picture coming from the northwest. There is a chance of showers on Sunday, with highs in the upper 70s (26 degrees Celsius). New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Wednesday's forecast calls for mostly sunny skies and a high near 75.

Saturday night - A chance of showers. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 89. Partly sunny, with a high near 79.

"We'll have to watch mid-week for a couple of chances for thunderstorms, " said McPike.

Saturday starts out foggy then warms to the lower 90s with partly sunny skies.

There is a 30 to 40 percent chance of showers today and Tuesday, and then a 50 percent chance Thursday night and Friday.

Monday: Mostly sunny. Wind: SW 5-10. Highs will be in the mid-80s as south winds range between 5 to 10 miles per hour. The overnight low is expected to be near 53. Lows in the upper 50s (15 degrees Celsius) means it'll be great sleeping weather tonight.

Sunday: Showers and thunderstorms likely.

Saturday Night.Mostly cloudy. Can't rule out a stray shower/storm.

A chance of some afternoon thunderstorms is on the way for Father's Day, and in some areas, those storms could be severe. High: 94. Wind: E 5-10 miles per hour.

An isolated storm is possible over parts of northeastern AL this evening, but most areas will stay dry. Cloudy, with a low around 63. Highs near 88 during the day.
